What are 13, 1300 and 1800 telephone numbers?

  • A 13 number has 6 digits e.g. 13 INFO (13 4636). Callers from a standard fixed line telephone pay a flat charge, usually about 25c. There is a significant annual government charge associated with 13 numbers. We therefore believe that 1300 and 1800 numbers represent superior value for the majority of small to medium sized businesses.
  • A 1300 number has 10 digits e.g. 1300TRAINS (1300 872467) Callers from a standard fixed line telephone pay a flat charge, usually about 25c.
  • A 1800 number has 10 digits e.g. 1800 NEW BED (1800 639 233). The call is usually free to callers from a standard fixed line telephone.
